ZOLL Defeats Claims by AutoMedx, Awarded Damages and Attorneys’ Fees

    On July 30, 2018, an arbitrator awarded defendant ZOLL Medical Corporation $1.8 million in damages and $3.6 million in attorneys’ fees for breach of contract by plaintiff AutoMedx, LLC.

    The dispute arose when ZOLL subsidiary Advanced Circulatory Systems Inc. (ACSI) terminated a product development agreement with AutoMedx, which sued for damages relating to the misappropriation of trade secrets and a failure to deliver agreed upon software solutions.
