Insurance
From claims processing to policy sales, insurance providers depend on software to provide efficient services and high-quality insurance products to their customers. Software solutions such as Policy and Claims Management Systems, Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance Software, Insurance Agency Management Systems (AMS), and Insurance Sales Systems help insurance companies track policy and claim counts, improve relationships with customers, and monitor insurance sales.
Disputes may arise over the failed implementation of insurance industry software, or over intellectual property rights to such software and systems. DisputeSoft was engaged by an auto insurance software provider in connection with a breach of contract dispute regarding competing Total Loss Settlement Systems (TLSS). As a technical expert for the defendant, DisputeSoft compared the two sets of source code and proffered an expert report containing findings of non-infringement. In a software project failure matter involving the failed implementation of a Property and Casualty policy administration and billing application, DisputeSoft analyzed application code for compliance with contractual and industry standards. In another matter concerning a P&C system, DisputeSoft conducted an abstraction-filtration-comparison (AFC) test to analyze P&C insurance management software for evidence of substantial similarity in connection with a copyright infringement dispute.
