On November 16, 2018, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) issued a final determination in the software patent dispute between Motorola Solutions and Hytera Communications.
The ITC affirmed a lower court’s finding that Hytera infringed four Motorola patents related to systems and software for Digital Mobile Radio devices. The commission also issued cease-and-desist orders for several Motorola patents, prohibiting Hytera from importing and selling the disputed products in the U.S.
