Atlanta-based medical imaging center Express MRI allegedly fell victim to a data breach on July 10, 2020, in which private, patient medical information was leaked.
The data stolen includes: “names, addresses, email addresses, dates of birth, and ages of patients as well as the name of the referring physician, which body part was scanned, and whether the scan was related to a workers’ compensation claim or motor vehicle accident investigation.” Express MRI claims they are enhancing their data privacy and data security measures to ensure such a breach does not occur again in the future.
