In September 2021, U.S. optometry clinic chain Simon Eye announced they experienced a data breach between May 12, 2021 and May 18, 2021, which exposed the data of over 144,000 patients.
Breached information includes: patients’ names, dates of birth, social security numbers, medical histories, and health insurance information.
