On June 14, 2021, Lyft filed a complaint against Agis Software Development LLC, alleging the ridesharing company of patent infringement of five Lyft patents relating to their LifeRing product, a “communication system that uses GPS-based location technology and cellular communication networks” to share travel logistics with groups and/or other individuals.
