On September 25, 2019, a jury in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey awarded aerial imagery and data analytics company Eagle View Technologies Inc. $125 million in damages for patent infringement by defendants Xactware Solutions, Inc. and Verisk Analytics, Inc.
The patent infringement case began in September 2015, when Eagle View alleged that the defendants willfully infringed several patents related to aerial roof estimation systems.
