JBS Undergoes a Cyberattack

    On July 7, 2021, JBS, the world’s largest meat supplier, was forced to halt U.S. production due to a data breach attack by Russia-linked ransomware operation group REvil.

    JBS ceased operations at the five largest beef plants in the U.S. JBS representatives stated that their backup servers were not impacted by the attack, had “enlisted the help of an incident response firm to restore its systems as soon as possible.”
