On February 18, 2022, Puerto Rico-based health company Inmediata Health has finally settled a massive data breach that occurred in 2019.
The data breach impacted 1.6 million patients, and they reached a settlement of $1.13 million. The 2019 data breach compromised the protected health information (PHI) of the 1.6 million patients, and they informed their patients months later than they were supposed to.
