First California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Data Breach Lawsuit Filed

    On February 5, 2020, the first lawsuit alleging a data breach under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) was filed in the matter of Barnes v. Hanna Andersson, LLC et al.

    The class action lawsuit was filed after children’s clothing company Hanna Andersson announced on January 15 that cyberhackers stole confidential customer information, which was later found for sale on the dark web.
