On December 16, 2019, a judge in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado approved a settlement in the Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. data breach case that affected the point-of-sale (POS) systems of 2,220 restaurants.
The class action data privacy lawsuit began in June 2017, after Chipotle customers were informed of a security breach that resulted in the theft of customer credit and debit card information between March 2017 and April 2017.
