California State AG Releases CCPA Regulation Draft

    On October 10, 2019, California Attorney General Xavier Bacerra released proposed regulations under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), which aim to regulate the ways in which businesses collect and use consumers’ personal information.

    The proposed data privacy regulations focus on (1) notices to consumers, (2) business practices for handling consumer requests, (3) verification of requests, (4) special rules regarding minors, and (5) calculating the value of consumer data.
