On November 20, 2019, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit reinstated a U.S. District Court for the Central District of California jury verdict which awarded Greg Young Publishing, Inc. $460,800 in statutory damages in a copyright infringement and unauthorized use dispute against print-on-demand company Zazzle, Inc.

The Ninth Circuit upheld the district court’s finding of willful infringement of 35 copyrighted works, finding that Zazzle failed to adequately police electronically uploaded materials on their website.
