On October 6, 2021, online streaming service Twitch announced they were hacked, resulting in their source code, internal security tools, and creator payouts being leaked.
A 125GB torrent was posted on a message board by an anonymous hacker, and Twitch stated that the data likely occurred due to an “error in a Twitch server configuration change.”
