Toyota Closes Plants in Japan After Possible Cyberattack

    On February 22, 2022, Toyota Motors closed all 14 plants in Japan after the company experienced system failure caused by a cyberattack.

    Toyota’s shutdown was short-lived as it re-opened operations on February 23, 2022. They are still unsure who was behind the attack or what their motive was.
