Supreme Court to Hear Google and Oracle’s Decade-Long Copyright Dispute

    On November 15, 2019, the U.S. Supreme Court confirmed it will review the copyright case between Google, Inc. and Oracle Corporation following Google’s appeal of a March 2018 U.S. Court of Appeals ruling in favor of Oracle.

    The dispute began in August 2010, when Oracle alleged Google’s Android devices infringed on patents and copyrights related to Oracle’s Java platform.
