Sonos Wins Patent Infringement Lawsuit Against Google

    On August 13, 2021, chief administrative law judge Charles Bullock, of the U.S. International Trade Commission, ruled on the intellectual property matter between Sonos, Inc. and Google, Inc.

    Bullock determined that Google had infringed upon five Sonos patents relating to smart speaker technology and software. The case is scheduled to be reviewed by the full International Trade Commission on December 13, 2021.
