On January 26, 2022, Samsung Electronics has continued to be a large target for patent trolls, filing lawsuits and seeking royalties for their similar technology.
Patent trolls are also known as non-practicing entities (NPEs), but the NPEs just own patent rights seeking profits by lawsuits rather than utilizing their intellectual property. Most recently, Samsung has been fighting an NPE from their former Vice President.
