Judge Vacates $740 Million Verdict in Real Estate Data Analytics Dispute

    On June 3, 2020, a judge in the Fourth Court of Appeals in San Antonio, Texas announced a verdict in the matter of Title Source, Inc. v. HouseCanary, Inc., in which the court vacated HouseCanary’s $740 million jury award.

    The appellate court found that HouseCanary failed to prove that Title Source misappropriated its trade secrets regarding a real estate analysis application, and remanded the case for a new trial on HouseCanary’s trade secret theft and fraud claims.
