On February 9, 2022, Japan Airlines experienced a significant computer system failure, preventing check-ins and online bookings for domestic and international flights.
Due to the system failures, airport staff had to manually check-in customers to their flights. Japan Airlines is still trying to determine the cause of the system failure and says that delays may continue.
