On December 7, 2021, Irish company Solas OLED, specializing in patented OLED technologies, filed a lawsuit against Nintendo Switch for infringing on their patented OLED technology.
Earlier this year, SDC, which supplies the OLED panel to Nintendo Switch, was found guilty of infringing on Solas patents, however, they continued to use the infringed technology with Nintendo Switch.
