On March 2, 2021, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit ruled in a patent infringement dispute between enterprise software management company Rain Computing, Inc. and Samsung, in which the Federal Circuit found the plaintiff’s patents invalid.
The patent in dispute relates to Samsung’s Smart Home technology and its method of providing “software-on-demand” to subscribers.
