Recently, EHR vendor QRS Inc. was sued after a data breach they experienced exposed information on 320,000 patients.
QRS began to inform individuals about the incident in October. Plaintiff Matthew Tincher said they are being sued because “QRS failed to reasonably secure, monitor, and maintain the protected health information and personally identified information stored on its patient portal.”
