EHR Software Vendor Will Pay $57.25 Million to Settle False Claims Act Allegations

    On February 6, 2019, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced that electronic health record (EHR) software vendor Greenway Health LLC will pay $57.25 million to resolve the DOJ’s lawsuit asserting that it violated the False Claims Act (FCA).

    According to the DOJ, Greenway falsely obtained 2014 Edition Certified EHR Technology (CEHRT) status and misrepresented the capabilities of its Prime Suite software product.
