EDPB Revises Guidelines on Cookie Consent Walls and Website Data Processing Regulations

    On May 4, 2020, the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) published revised guidelines on consent regulation regarding websites cookie usage and the processing of user’s personal data.

    To be compliant under the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), websites must now receive clear and affirmative user consent to collect personal data, making “Accept Cookies” buttons and normal website scrolling no longer acceptable methods of gaining user consent.
