Densify Awarded $236 Million In Patent Infringement Dispute Against VMware

    On January 24, 2020, a jury in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware awarded cloud optimization software company Densify $236 million in a patent infringement dispute against software company VMware.

    The case began in April 2019, after Densify alleged that VMware’s vRealize Operations software (vROps) and Predictive DRS infringed upon two patents related to “virtual guest-host placement services.”
