DisputeSoft was engaged by surety OneBeacon Technology in a project delay matter related to a data breach. OneBeacon was responsible for underwriting the performance bond for the implementation of its vendor’s software projects.
One of the vendor’s employees, who was assigned to implement a Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system, breached confidential data and stole the identity of an executive of the vendor’s client. The data breach required OneBeacon to cover the loss resulting from project implementation delays and investigation expenses.
DisputeSoft’s project delay and trade secret misappropriation expert Todd Trivett evaluated the reasonableness of the claims submitted with regard to the aborted, then re-started HCM implementation project.
