DisputeSoft was engaged in the matter of Grape Technology Group, Inc. and KGB Inc. v. Jingle Networks, Inc. to provide expert testimony regarding allegations of patent infringement.

The plaintiffs alleged that Jingle Networks infringed upon patents related to automated directory assistance service.

Grape Technology Group and kgb, Inc. owned three patents related to automated directory assistance services that improved upon traditional directory assistance services in several ways. Grape and kgb argued that Jingle’s “Free411” service infringed upon all three of these patents.

DisputeSoft reviewed the three patents at issue, constructed claim charts, and reviewed the source code of Jingle’s Free411 directory assistance service. DisputeSoft software patent infringement expert Hunter Jones prepared an expert report detailing his analysis of the alleged patent infringement and testified to his findings at trial. Jingle Network’s software was ultimately found not to infringe upon Grape’s and kgb’s patents.
