On June 24, 2019, a jury in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas found that Chinese electronics manufacturer Huawei misappropriated trade secrets related to memory control technology, but awarded semiconductor designer CNEX Labs Inc. no damages, as it found that CNEX did not prove that Huawei was unjustly enriched.
The case began in December 2017, when Huawei alleged former employee Yiren Huang stole technology while working at Huawei subsidiary Futurewei.
